The science of cool

Why aloe gel feels cool.

  • About 99% water. Aloe gel is mostly water held in a soft gel, so it glides on and feels instantly cool.
  • Evaporation pulls heat away. As that water evaporates, it carries heat off the surface of your skin. Same physics as a breeze after a swim.
